ERIC WILKEN, IN INTERVIEW

This audio file is a recent interview between myself and my Dad, in which we are taken on a tour through his childhood, young adulthood, parenthood, and long-lasting passion for music. Music is our hero here. The style of this interview is very much inspired by Joe Rogan's podcasts, in that I asked very few questions, and let my Dad really say whatever came to mind, no matter how long it took. That's probably why it's thirty minutes long, even after hours of editing. If you want a shorter listen, I would suggest skipping ahead to NUMBER TWO, where, about 30 seconds in, Dad starts to tell a really incredible story about meeting the Rolling Stones while working a job (as an equipment carrier for artist's and bands).

Backing music is all played and sung by my Dad, except for one song: "Wildflowers," by Tom Petty.
